Founders

In 2008, just before competing in the first season of “The Voice”, Nakia Reynoso created a private Facebook group where Austin musicians could share resources, information and opportunities. As membership grew, so did the need for advocacy, and in 2019, Nakia gathered a small group of working musicians to formalize next steps. Out of this effort, Austin Texas Musicians nonprofit was born, with Nakia, Sonya Jevette and Pat serving as our Founding Board of Directors.
